Tan-je-reen
was an idea of Melanie Gaffney, owner, for years.
Her fascination with stationery turned into an obsession
when she started planning her very own wedding in
2003. While planning to marry the man of her dreams
she wanted to be sure that their uniqueness and personality
was expressed through all facets of the wedding, especially
in the object that guests would see before anything
else...the stationery. The Save the Dates, Engagement
Party Invites, Wedding Invites, Programs, Seating
Cards, all of it. Melanie wanted everything to be
an expression of them and to revolve around a central
design.

After
searching for that perfect piece and coming up empty
handed she decided to design and create her own. From
that design came everything else for the wedding,
from labels for the favors to church programs. Everything
matched and flowed with a similar design element.

When
Melanie and her husband Sean decided to have a baby,
the need for unique and creative designs for invitations
and announcements started all over again. It was important
to Melanie that her son Mason have stationery that
stood out and is as special as he is. Melanie soon
found that she had a knack for designing not only
children's invitations and announcements but for designing
personalized stationery.
After
the wedding and Mason's birth, requests from family
and friends to design and create their invitations
and stationery for all occasions started to pour in.
Thus Tan-je-reen was born.
